Nothing compares to hemp.
It's the softest. The rarest. The most luxurious, the most durable. Hemp only gets better with wear. Naturally anti-microbial, anti-fungal and odor resistant, hemp also uses less than half the amount of land, and a fourth of the water that cotton does. It needs no pesticides or insecticides to flourish, while cotton is responsible for 25% of the world's insecticide use (goodbye bees, hello neurotoxins). Hemp plants are even used to clean the soil after nuclear disasters.
With but a few exceptions, hemp is still illegal to grow in the US.
A little bit of US history: the Constitution was drafted on hemp paper, and at one point was so vital and valuable, you could pay your taxes with it.
